Kitchen Extension Havant
Extending this period property required particular care because of its relatively low ceilings. The beams supporting the first floor were positioned as high as practicable, while a carefully placed central column reduced the required beam sizes and helped preserve as much headroom as possible.
Using a single colour across the walls, ceilings and structural changes visually unifies the space and makes the variations in ceiling level far less noticeable. The completed interior was designed by the homeowner, creating a characterful kitchen that works beautifully with the original property.
